What are the general methods of ship maintenance

① High pressure water or high pressure water with pressure up to 500 Kilogram-force/cm shall be used for sand blasting to clean the hull and derusting, and the derusting speed shall reach 2000 m/h;

② The hull shall be painted by high-pressure airless spraying method with a pressure of 200 Kilogram-force/cm. If the climate is humid, it shall be dried by hot air, and the spraying speed shall reach 4000 m/h;

③ Adopting segmented and segmented prefabrication method for hull plate replacement, the daily plate replacement volume of a single ship reaches 30-40 tons;

④ Divers operate hydraulic or pneumatic rotary brushes and other tools to clean or repair the hull underwater, in order to solve the difficulty of repairing large ships without a large dock. It can also be carried out simultaneously with loading and unloading cargo, reducing the loss of navigation due to docking;

⑤ Using alkaline solution to remove oil stains on electromechanical equipment, acidic solution to remove scale, and neutral solution to clean electrical appliances greatly improves cleaning efficiency;

⑥ For large machinery components such as crankshafts, shafting, and rudder stock, the method of not disassembling them to the workshop and repairing them on-site on board or in the dock is adopted;

⑦ Implement specialized repairs for precision machinery components such as automation devices, speed governors, turbochargers, etc;

⑧ The method of group repair is adopted for small and medium-sized components, and the replaced old parts are repaired according to the new standard before reuse.
